RIP Eco is proud to announce that we have received funding and been selected as a key partner in Oslo Municipality's ground-breaking "Water Crisis 2030" project, under the Smart Oslo initiative. This project is part of Oslo Municipality's efforts to reduce the use of potable water in burial grounds, and RIP Eco will contribute with our innovative Vannstein memorials that collect rainwater and ensure an environmentally friendly and maintenance-free solution for grave memorials.
The Vannskrekk 2030 project, led by the Graves' Authority, is testing innovative solutions such as drought-tolerant plants, self-watering grave monuments and systems for rainwater collection, all to support the UN's sustainability goals and minimize water consumption. RIP Eco's contribution with Vannstein fits in perfectly, as it eliminates the need for drinking water by collecting rainwater, which contributes to Oslo Municipality's goals of biodiversity and resource efficiency.
A special thank you from Chairman Trond Bugge
"We would like to say a big thank you to everyone who has made this possible," says chairman Trond Bugge of RIP Eco. "A special thank you goes to Magne Mikael Hustavenes and GPE, and especially Stein Nerland and Snorre Kalsveen Utengen, for their dedication to the project. We would also like to thank Gaute Espeland at UKE (Development and Competence Agency) and Thomas Bergøy Johansen at BYR (City Council Department for Industry and Ownership) for their invaluable support."
